The Plaid Code

It’s certain that every fall, plaids will be “back” in style.  It’s a good idea to invest in a staple plaid piece that can be used each year.  It can get a bit overwhelming to figure out which plaid piece speaks to you, so below you will find the best of the best that the online world has to offer.  Maybe you are a trendnista and like to invest in mulitple items of a trend or maybe you like to “fashion bank” and invest in one good piece and use it year after year.  Whichever Closetnista you are, plaid is the way to go for fall.

The Rachel Zoe Collection Debuts

I am so excited that Rachel Zoe’s line is finally out! For years now I have been admiring her looks on the red carpet, in photo shoots, on screen during the Rachel Zoe Project and now finally her collection is in stores. Her signature style of bohemian chic meets glam really shows in her pieces and the line really stands out as most definitely Zoe. Here are some of my favorites for fall:

Rachel Zoe Double Breasted Tie Waist Jacket

I love this faux fur jacket which is a staple in Zoe’s personal style as well. I found it to be sophisticated yet feminine and I love the black bow cinching in the waist so the coat isn’t overwhelming on. Great to dress up or down and will take you from day, to dinner, to a great winter vacation! Amazing price point and can be found at http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=544217&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results

Rachel Zoe Double Breasted Belted Military Jacket & more

The military look is another trend Zoe hit spot on. Showing this structured look in a soft tan color was brilliant and it translates beautifully! The jacket with it’s defined waist paired with a tailored pair of wide leg pants make this look an A+

Rachel Zoe Sleeveless Flower Sequin Shift Dress

Winter white is always a favorite statement of mine, mixed with black makes it classic and chic. I love how Zoe paired it with booties to funk it up a bit and allows you to take it from an uptown cocktail party to date night with the girls downtown! This shift dress will also look great paired with tights and a leather jacket. Love!
